JOMFRULAND

Take the ferry from Kragerø to Jomfruland, a nature reserve and national park island off the coast of Kragerø. A great place for a day trip where you can hire bikes, visit the long beaches and famous lighthouse.

SKÅTOY

A beautiful island only a short ferry ride from town with beautiful trails through the forests and home to the Skåtoy Cafe, a nice place to stop for lunch.

TELEMARK

If extending your trip we would recommend exploring all that Telemark has to offer. The mountains of Telemark offer a scenic contrast to the rugged coast. The Telemark canal offers boat trips up to Dalen in the mountains where you can stay at the traditional Dalen Hotel.

Alternatively you could explore further down the coast and visit Lyngør, a beautiful island or head further down to Risør where the annual trebåt (wooden boat) festival will be taking place.
